Meet Your Pharmacist
Dave grew up not far from Kanab in Cannonville, Utah. He spent much of his younger years growing up in Kodachrome State Park, where his dad was the Park Ranger, before moving to Cannonville. It is there he developed a love for the red rocks; and for hiking, camping and exploring the outdoors. After marrying his wife, Kelly, she took him back East for an adventure while he was still in school. There he attended and graduated from VCU pharmacy school in Richmond, Virginia with a PharmD degree. Deciding that they had had enough adventure it was time to bring him home. The closest Dave could get to the red rocks was Lehi, where he worked for, opened a store, and managed Walgreens pharmacies for four years. It was then they decided it was time to come home. He found the opportunity to purchase Kanab Drug, and continue the business built by locals over 100 years ago, in 1916. Dave and his family love calling Kanab home and serving their community through pharmacy. Based on this they built a new, more convenient, full service pharmacy with a larger gift store and brought back the Soda Fountain idea from the original Kanab Drug.
